My main goal is to provide families with beautiful photographs to look back on and smile. I want to capture your family and your children just as you are, naturally. I love to look back at photos of myself growing up; all the changes, through all the years. I want my families to look at the photographs I provide for them and be taken back in time, to that day.
"We not only capture moments, we build memories"
I love to capture memories and to tell stories through photographs... little moments in time. I have been interested in, studying, and photographing since I was 12 years old. I was given a camera for Christmas from my uncle. I was hooked from then on! In addition to doing portraiture for my own business, I have photographed weddings/events, school photos, fine art, and nature. I have worked for Olan Mills, Lifetouch as a school photographer, and JCPenney as a portrait photographer. I love to photograph people in the outdoors, in their natural environments, their homes, in natural light. I like to capture who you are....naturally.
I have several reasons as to why I started my business. First and foremost, photography has always been a passion of mine. I do not remember a time in my life that it was not somehow incorporated. I love to capture emotion, small moments of time, the essence of a person. Nature and landscape photography are at the base of my soul. This is the reason I choose to do on location/outdoor portraits. I get the best of both worlds.
My second reason is to provide beautiful photos for family and friends to look back on. Growing up, we would often sit with the photo albums open on the coffee table, gathered with friends and family, and reminisce of days gone by. It gave me a sense of belonging, showing me where I came from, what I could aspire to be, and even beyond. It was like a trip in a time machine. I still get out the albums and look back on those days, those friends, and my family with a love and fondness in my heart. I want to create time machine trips for other families.
Like most people, my final reason for choosing to own, run, and dive in head first to my own photography business is to earn money and secure financial freedom for my family. My husband and I dream of taking our children on adventures around our country and even beyond. He was an only child of two teachers. They often traveled around the country in the summer. I'm from a large family that spent most summers in the mountains of Kentucky visiting family. We want our boys to have the same, and even better, experiences as we did. What better way to earn the money and have the freedom to give our children little adventures and world experience? This is a dream for all of us!
